What is the actual standard wording for Skip nav links? Is it skip navigation? I’ve seen some people use skip to content. Do you see any advantages of using one over the other?

The W3C uses “Skip to content” on the WAI site. WebAIM uses “Skip to main content.” Another suggestion is “skip navigation”. What’s NOT recommended is a “skip to navigation” link and not placing the main navigation links in the conventional place, at the top of the page, which may confuse the user.
