The CA.gov Accessibility Page Updated!

Today, just 3 working days after my critique of the CA.gov Accessibility page was published, the CA.gov Accessibility page has been updated! Some of the point discussed were removed and other modified. As for the site itself, the “skip to content” is now visible when tabbed upon. Hooray!

Also, a couple of interesting links were added to the “related sites” at the bottom of the page: Accessible Twitter and California’s Accessibility Standards.

One reply on “The CA.gov Accessibility Page Updated!”

Just wanted to say, thanks for keeping us honest. In the process of launching this new version of the site, we simply overlooked updating the accessibility page to match the new design. Since updating it, we have also undergone a review from one of our regular, state accessibility experts. We take web accessibility seriously here in CA and continually work to update, fix, enhance and otherwise make sure our data is available. I take your critique as it was, well-deserved, and a reminder that we missed something. Thanks. Dane Wilson, Manager, CA Office of Technology Services, Web Services Section.
